The desert has quickly become our favorite weekend escape in Southern California. Living in such a large state, there aren't many options for a quick weekend getaway and we are so thankful for the gem that is Joshua Tree.

This oasis in the desert feels off the beaten path, situated on roads made of desert sand, but is still close enough to town that you can enjoy local shops and restaurants.

Coming out to the desert for us is about getting back to basics, spending quality time with friends and disconnecting from our phones and laptops that we are usually glued to. That's why we love that Diamond Sky Retreat is equipped with a record player and an extensive record collection. You can spend hours sifting through records and listening to music.
