The “New Year” has a way of getting us to think about the year ahead; goals we’ll set, accomplishments we’d like to achieve, milestones we’d like to reach, and the places we’d like to visit.
Just two simple words, “new year”, and snippets of our life in the upcoming year play in our heads like a trailer to an upcoming blockbuster movie.
While most New Years resolutions are often overrated and underachieved, on the contrary, with each year travel gets easier and easier thanks to advancements in technology from airplanes to internet connectivity in remotes areas around the world.
2019 will host a number of new and very exciting airlines routes around the world, here are some noteworthy new flights.
So cheers to taking more trips in 2019, a worthy New Years resolution that is more attainable than ever!

New Airline Routes to Europe
Austin to Frankfurt with Lufthansa
Service five times weekly starting 3 May 2019. Austin will be the third airport in Texas (along with Dallas and Houston) with nonstop flights to Germany.
Boston to Amsterdam with KLM
In partnership with Delta, KLM will begin operating service from Boston to Amsterdam up to four times weekly starting 31 March 2019.
Boston to Edinburgh and Lisbon with Delta Airlines
Daily service from Boston to Edinburgh will begin 23 May 2019.
Daily seasonal service from Boston to Lisbon from 23 May 2019 to 3 September 2019.
Boston to Rome and Madrid with Norwegian Airlines
Service from Boston to Rome will commence on 31 March 2019, and operate four times per week.
Service from Boston to Madrid will launch on 2 May 2019, and operate three times per week. Both new routes are summer seasonal only. From Boston, Norwegian currently only operates non-stop flights to Paris & London.
Charlotte to Munich with American Airlines
Daily, year-round service starting 31 March 2019.
Charleston to Athens with American Airlines
Service to Athens, Greece beginning 3 May 2019.

Seasonal service with British Airways from April 4, 2019 to October 24, 4019.
Chicago O’Hare to Athens with American Airlines
Daily summer seasonal service to Athens, Greece from 3 May to 28 September 2019.
Chicago O’Hare to Lisbon with TAP Air Portugal
Five weekly services between Chicago O’Hare and Lisbon starting 1 June 2019.
Dallas Fort-Worth to Dublin and Munich with American Airlines
Daily summer seasonal service to Dublin from 6 June - 28 September 2019.
Daily summer seasonal service to Munich from 6 June - 26 October 2019, so you can make it to Oktoberfest!
Dallas Fort-Worth to Paris with AirFrance
Service up to five times weekly begins 31 March 2019.
Denver to Frankfurt with United Airlines
Daily, year-round service starts May 2, 2019.
Los Angeles to Helsinki with Finnair
Three weekly services starting 31 March 2019.
Los Angeles to Milan with Air Italy
Four weekly services will start early April 2019.

Miami to London-Heathrow with Norwegian Airlines
Year round service beginning 31 March 2019. Note that Norwegian is moving it’s current Fort Lauderdale service to London, to Miami.

Four times weekly service to Warsaw, Poland starts 1 June 2019.
Minneapolis–St. Paul to Dublin with Aer Lingus
Daily service starts 1 July 2019. Winter schedule drops to four times weekly.
Newark to Naples with United
Seasonal service runs 22 May 2019 to 4 October 2019.
Naples serves as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, and United will soon become the other carrier with a non-stop flights from the U.S. to Naples.
Philadelphia to Berlin, Bologna, Dubrovnik and Edinburgh with American Airlines
Daily summer seasonal service to Edinburgh, Scotland; new summer seasonal service to Berlin-Tegel Airport, Bologna Guglielmo Marconi in Italy and Dubrovnik, Croatia.
